Jager Selected for CBSA Narcotics/Firearm Detection Training

Our Brittany Jager has been selected by Canadian Border Services Agency for its narcotics and firearms detection training program. Hunters Heart Jager Cimex, our 9-month old Brittany Spaniel pup (from BB x Boo’s last litter), is now on his way to Montreal.

CBSA assessed his skills off leash, outdoors, by hiding one ball in trees and rewarding with a second ball, similar to the Scandinavian Working Dog Institute protocols we follow. The 10 week program will allow Jager to be matched with a compatible handler, for prospective deployment at airports and/or border crossings. We’ll miss this little guy, but he’s in good hands and doing what he enjoys most.

  1. outstanding, been working on finding other things my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels can do; currently have a breeding “in the oven”, and have started adding to the mum’s food, will be interesting to see the out come with the pup’s —– thank you for being here and doing this; (there are NO scent classes/ trainers within 250 miles of where I live)
